Torch Awards

Participation in the Torch awards program encourages students to stretch their comfort zone. The seven torch categories are: Leadership, Service, Cooperation, Knowledge, Friendship, Love/Hope/Faith, and Patriotism. The professional skills students need to learn to be successful in the 21st century workforce are the skills achieved through this program.

BPA Cares

A BPA chapter aligned with the goals and mission of Business Professional of America is concerned with service. Business Professionals of America recommends chapters become involved in one or more of the BPA Cares programs it offers. Participation in this program means that members are engaging in worthwhile projects while having the opportunity to receive recognition from the national organization.

Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP)

The WSAP Competitive Events program is a primary intracurricular component offered by Business Professionals of America. Students prepare for and compete in contests in over 85 categories, under five Assessment Areas including Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Digital Communication & Design, and Mangement, Marketing and  Communication.

Students begin with a Regional competition. The top qualifiers compete at at State conference, and finally, those ranked the best of the best compete at the National Leadership Conference in May of each year. Competitions range from individual to team, from objective tests to judged presentations.
